Ha! I finally got my film developed. Well, 5 of the rolls anyway. I still have half a roll in my camera.

I also bought a printer/scanner...it's a lot bigger than I expected. Ah well, so yes. It does make the film thing more convenient than when I had to get the negs scanned at WPS.

So...that is all.

Yeah, I pop in every now and then. Nowhere near as much as I used to, but then I'm a "real person" now with a "real job" not a student with plenty of time to bum around on the internet! Hehe.
:iconadean:
Just a lame excuse :P ;)

Oh yeah. My camera and I will be in NZ in a few weeks

I'm open to suggestions as to where I should go on the South Island.

Or is it?

Oooh. Well, pretty much everywhere! Haha. There's the pancake rocks at Punakaiki near Greymouth and if you're going down there, you may as well head to the glaciers (Franz Josef and Fox). I stayed at a place called Glowworm Backpackers in Franz Josef back in 2001 and just down the raod from there they have glowworms. Also went kayaking on Lake Mapourika, which is amazing. You're sitting on a tannin coloured lake, with bush surrounding the edge and the Remarkables mountain range taking up the rear, right there. If you're over there, you'll also see that you're on the West Coast which is just packed with awsome natural beauty and not very many people. Take yourself well away from the main roads, where cars can't go. Are you a tramper? There's definitely some good walks, for the whole range - couple of hours to several days. Then there's Fiordland, of course. Milford Sounds is just lovely. Watch out for sandflies. You've got the Crown Range as you drive over to Queenstown as well, which has some gorgeous gorgeous viewing. You can pull off the road at points too. The Chaslands down at the bottom of the South Island is another childhood memory of mine. It all really depends on how much time you have! You can go down one side, go up the other and wander in the middle! Haha. The best thing you can do though is to just head into it, it's not hard to get way from the cities and that's really where you want to go. Oh, if you're in Picton, head around tothe Waikawa Pa. It's an old Maori fortress ground and also has lovely lovely views of Marlborough Sounds. I've also always had a bit of a soft spot for Moeraki Boulders, which I think is near Christchurch. The Boulders have worn a bit over the years, that's for sure, but they're still interesting. Very large, very spherical boulders on a beach esssentially. Lots of national parks down there. I remember Hollyford Valley is supposed to have a decent walk as well. Haha, you might have to google some of these places though, I'm hopeless with directions and locations. I do remember names though!
